An iconic skincare brand that’s been helping millions of people treat acne for more than 25 years, proactiv has a strong, consumer facing voice. The brand was one of the first to establish a successful subscription model, a strategy that helps proactiv users get clear and stay clear.

Rachel works closely with all of proactiv’s teams: marketing, brand, digital acquisition, member retention, social media, retail, and product development.

Among her writing duties are emails, social media captions, print collateral, website content, and a variety of web and print assets for Amazon, Target, Ulta, and Sephora.

DAYSPA Magazine

It was always Rachel’s dream to work for a magazine, so you can imagine her delight when, upon moving back to LA, she landed a job at a spa magazine.

She spent her 3 years at Creative Age Publications learning how to write for a B2B audience, diving into the world of skincare and business advice and active ingredients, and working hard to push DAYSPA Magazine into the 21st century. She worked closely with her executive editor and art director on a full rebrand and redesign of the magazine, and ideated countless new columns and sections.

After a promotion to senior editor, Rachel began managing the magazine’s associate editor. She wrote and organized product stories, worked with countless freelancers on long form articles, and wrote her own columns on various topics for the publication.
